Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is a great massage to introduce to your existing clients or for clients who are new to massage. The treatment is applied to the upper part of the body; the shoulders, upper arms, neck, and head. It can be carried out on a chair or on a beauty couch.

The main aim is to relieve stress and tension creating a feeling of wellbeing, as well as improving the condition of the scalp and hair.

Our Indian head massage course allows you to be able to perform this treatment with the correct products, how to carry out different set ups for the treatment and the background of Indian head massage and its benefits. You will also learn how to carry out a full consultation, any contra-indications and contra actions and provide aftercare advice.

Course Duration: 5 hours
Entry requirements: Therapists must be qualified in Anatomy and Physiology, and Swedish Massage.

Warm Bamboo Massage

Warm bamboo is a fabulous new treatment to introduce to your clients. It is perfect for clients that love a little bit more pressure, like a deep tissue massage but is much easier on the therapist’s hands and elbows.

This course allows you to be able to perform a full body treatment in a safe, professional, and hygienic manner.

You will learn the background of Warm Bamboo massage, its benefits and the appropriate equipment and set-up required for the treatment. You will also learn the appropriate consultation techniques, contra-indications, contra-actions and aftercare advice.

Course Duration: 7 hours
Entry requirements: Therapists must already be qualified in Swedish Massage, and Anatomy & Physiology.

Thai Compress Massage

Thai Compress Massage is a deeply relaxing heat treatment that uses compresses containing fragrant Thai Herbs to massage the body. This course will teach you the history of Thai Compress Massage, the benefits and effects of the treatment, how to work on the client’s ‘Sen’ lines, and much more.

Lava Shells

Natural, self-warming Indonesian Tiger Clam Shells are used to deliver a seamless heat treatment. The warm shells are applied to the body with varying pressures and techniques enabling the therapist to soothe aches and alleviate stress. Hydrating oils moisturise the skin as the warming energy of the shells revive the body and mind. Why not try our 75-minute treatment which includes the stomach area, and experience what’s being called ‘a completely natural colonic’!

This course will teach you to perform the Lava Shells massage safely and to a high standard. Our Trainer works with Shared Beauty Secrets, the owners and developers of Lava Shells. Hot Stone Massage

Stone therapy massage has become extremely popular over the years and is a great skill to add another level on to your massage routines. It uses heated basalt stones to relax the muscle tissue, achieving a deeper pressure whilst keeping the client relaxed.

This course allows you to be able to perform a full body hot stone massage treatment in a safe, professional and hygienic manner.

You will learn the background of hot stone therapy, its benefits and how to set up and carry out the full body treatment with the correct equipment. You will also learn appropriate consultation techniques, contra-indications, contra actions and aftercare advice.

Entry requirements: This course is designed for therapists already qualified in Swedish massage and anatomy & physiology.

Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage is an ancient holistic treatment passed from generation to generation over thousand of years. It’s a treatment that re-balances the flow of energy with the body using the ‘Sen’ energy lines.

Thai foot massage covers the lower leg and foot, through stretches, massage, stimulating reflex points and following the Thai energy lines (Sen).

This course will teach you to perform this treatment in a safe, professional, and hygienic manner, and within a suitable time. We will cover the history of Thai Foot massage and its benefits to the client. The course also covers how to carry out consultations, the contra-indications and contra-actions, and client aftercare. You will leave with a thorough knowledge of the appropriate equipment, techniques, and the correct set-up.

Hopi Ear Candling

Hopi Ear Candling treatment also known as Thermal Arcular Therapy is a non invasive holistic facial to help treatment the ears, nose and throat with the use of ear candling. The use of ear candling helps to rebalance and cleanse as the ear candling help to reduce pressure and pain within the ears, nose and throat area.

This course allows you to carry out Hopi Ear Candling alongside facial treatment to help treat client and balance the body.

Hydrotherm

Hydrotherm Massage is designed with the therapists hands in mind. The use of warm cushions and client's positioning allows the therapist to deliver a deeply relaxing massage within any stress or strain on their wrists or body.

Hydrotherm massage is an Ayurvedic holistic massage using three dimensional massage technique. Clients are positioned facing up, allowing them to be comfortable and supported, as the water cushions create a perfect spinal alignment and support.

Hydrotherm course introduces you to Hydrotherm massage, focusing on key muscles, learning hydrotherm technique and movements, setting up of system, contra indications and learning aftercare.

Hydrotherm achieves deep relaxation, eases muscle tension with a combination of massage techniques to deliver a bespoke treatment.

All our courses are taught face-to-face, which gives you the best hands-on and practical experience. Some courses will ask you to either bring or be a model, so you get a first-hand experience of how the treatments should be carried out. 

Each course comes with a manual for you to keep, full of practical tips, advice and guidance on best practice, preparation, and detailed step-by-step instructions. Each manual covers in detail the history and background of treatments, contra-actions and contraindications, how to carry out a consultation, how to provide aftercare advice, and much more.

Do I need to bring a packed lunch?
Please bring your own lunch or you can purchase your lunch from Ocho Café next door.

Do I need a model?
You may be required to bring a model with you. Should this be the case we will inform you when booking.

What should I wear?
Please come dressed in your beauty or holistic uniform. If you don’t have a tunic please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

Do I need to bring anything else?
All equipment and products necessary for the course and PPE equipment will be provided on the day of training.

Payment
A £50 deposit is required to secure you booking and training date, with the remaining balance to be completed one week before the training date.

Additional Informtation
All courses are small classes and training can be one to one to help ensure a relaxed positive learning environment. 

We require full payment 1 week before course date, as you will receive your training manual before attending course to help yourself prepare and gain knowledge on your course. 

On the day of training course, we try to bring more than one model into your training to help gain as much knowledge and experience with your new treatment.
